Scouts and Guides worldwide celebrate World Thinking Day on Thursday, the 22nd of this month, a day dedicated to reflecting on the global Scout and Guide community.
Held annually on February 22nd, World Thinking Day is the shared birthday of Scouts founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Guides founder Olave Baden-Powell.
According to Girlguiding UK, World Thinking Day is "a chance for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts across the world to think about each other, the worldwide movement they’re part of, and important issues."
This year's theme, ‘Our World, Our Thriving Future,’ highlights the importance of environmental sustainability, gender equality, peace, and poverty.
Participants engaged in activities ranging from learning about environmental sustainability to exploring diverse cultures, helping create mutual understanding and respect for others.
World Thinking Day 2024 provided young people with an opportunity for education and growth, as they dive into global issues and how they can help and evolve.
